I had to take my husband Javier into the hospital for what we thought was a cold/fever and to our surprise, he had a 2 broken ribs, sternum and a large hematoma. We were there for just about two weeks. He has been diagnosed with a severe bacterium infection in his bones (Osteomyelitis) and is scheduled for a bone marrow biopsy on 1/5 due to additional findings in his blood work. He is now home and can not work as they had to place an IV PICC in his arm. This is where I administer his iv antibiotics three times a day and a nurse comes to the house weekly to change his dressing and run blood work until the infection has cleared up. He has not worked since Nov 29. I thought we were going to be good but now I am just trying to get specific bills paid for the time being as his Critical Illness Short Term Claim was denied due to the fine print of not adding a rider to cover this critical illness. Whatever bit helps and with these times even if just a prayer to help get through all this will be a big help.
