My name is Marie, a RN in Mainland ER and one of our own is in need of our help. Anyone who has ever encountered our beloved tech James knows he is the kindest soul to EVER grace our ER. He cares for every single pt as if they are family. Now he needs us to do the same. James came to our ER earlier this week in distress. Initially we thought STEMI per his EKG; however, his case turned out to be much more severe. James has suffered a TYPE B Aortic Dissection (TBAD) treated with Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR). He was intubated and sedated for a few days but was able to be weaned after his 2nd major surgery yesterday. He has a temporary colostomy and will be out of work for his recovery.
