My name is Jevonte, and I am raising funds to support my newborn son, Jaconi.

Jaconi was born extremely premature at 22 weeks and 1 day and is currently fighting for his life in the NICU. Since his birth, he has faced serious medical complications and requires around-the-clock specialized care from an incredible team of doctors and nurses.

As a father, I am doing everything I can to be there for my son every step of the way. The road ahead is expected to be long, with doctors anticipating a NICU stay that could last several months. During this time, I am facing significant expenses related to travel, missed work, legal matters, baby necessities, and preparing for the possibility that Jaconi may need ongoing medical and developmental support after he leaves the hospital.

In addition to the medical challenges Jaconi faces, I unexpectedly found myself navigating this journey as his sole active parent. Following his birth, his mother has not been involved in his care, and I have been working with the hospital, social workers, and DCS to ensure Jaconi receives the support, advocacy, and stability he needs.

As I focus on being present for my son every day, I am also handling legal, administrative, and financial responsibilities on my own while preparing for the long road ahead. My goal is simple: to give Jaconi every possible chance to survive, grow, and thrive despite the obstacles he has faced since birth.
