Hello friends and family, as many of you know, our baby girl, Itzel, was born on January 7th and has had a challenging start. We spent a few weeks in the NICU and are now back in the hospital. Unfortunately, this is our reality at the moment, and we will likely be in and out of the hospital for the next month or so.

You have all been incredibly kind and supportive, always calling or texting to check in on our baby and us. I apologize for not responding as quickly as I should have. My mind has been a whirlwind, and it’s been a very hectic month for us. Some of you have been so thoughtful, asking if our baby needs anything or if we need anything. Truth be told, we do need some help.

Itzel has been diagnosed with crainosynostosis, a common but not so common diagnosis. It not only causes issues for her little brain but also her little eyes, as well as feeding issues. She has a somewhat severe case and needs a few surgeries. One of them surgeries will be done here on March 9th. Due to her diagnosis and all the health issues it brings, I have been unable to return to work, and Dad is torn between work and home, as well as hospital stays. Between hospital stays, appointments, and taking care of our other children, things have gotten tough for us. They have always said it’s not wrong to ask for help when needed, and here we are putting our pride aside and asking for help during this difficult time.
