Help Isla Get the Heart She Needs ❤️

At just 19 weeks old, our precious granddaughter Isla is fighting for her life in the Cleveland Clinic Pediatric Cardiac ICU.

Isla has been diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy, a rare and life-threatening condition that has caused her heart to become dangerously enlarged and too weak to pump blood effectively. After weeks of tests, treatments, and unimaginable fear, our family received the news no one is ever prepared for: Isla is now on the heart transplant list.

She spends her days surrounded by monitors, IV medications, and an incredible cardiac team working around the clock to keep her stable while we wait and pray for a donor heart. Every moment is filled with hope, anxiety, and awe at the strength of such a tiny baby with such a big fight.

Today our Isla is 6 months old!

Not how we wanted to be spending her half birthday but blessed to be able to have our girl with us still fighting strong! 

Both of Isla’s parents, Amiyah & Eric, have had to stop working/working only a few days a month, so they can remain by her side—where they belong—advocating for her, comforting her, and loving her through the hardest days of their lives. While nothing matters more than being there for Isla, the financial burden has quickly become overwhelming.

Funds raised will help cover:

• Medical expenses not fully covered by insurance

• Travel to and from Cleveland Clinic

• Lodging and meals during extended ICU stays

• Household bills while both parents are unable to work

• Ongoing care before and after Isla’s heart transplant
