Our son, Dalton “Hunter” Ellis, is a 15-year-old 9th grader at Alma Bryant High School and a proud member of the football team. He’s the kind of kid everyone loves to be around—funny, outgoing, smart, and always keeping people laughing. He’s a supportive friend, full of life, and one of the bravest people we know.
Hunter loves video games, spending time with his friends, playing football, and being with his family. He’s always been active, happy, and full of energy—just a normal teenage boy enjoying life.
Everything changed when his coach Garrett Frichter noticed a knot on Hunter’s neck and encouraged us to get it checked. Because of that moment, we found out something no parent is ever prepared to hear—Hunter was diagnosed with Stage IIB lymphocyte-predominant Hodgkin lymphoma.
He is now going through chemotherapy and taking several medications as he fights this battle with strength and courage every single day. Watching your child go through something like this is incredibly hard, but Hunter continues to show us what true bravery looks like.
As parents, we are doing everything we can to be by his side through treatments, appointments, and this entire journey. Because of this, we’ve had to miss work, and the cost of medical care, medications, and daily expenses is becoming overwhelming.
We are asking for help during this difficult time. Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward Hunter’s medical expenses and help ease the financial burden so we can focus on what matters most—helping our son heal.
If you’re unable to donate, we completely understand. Your prayers, love, and simply sharing Hunter’s story mean more to us than words can express.
Thank you for supporting Hunter and standing with our family in this fight.
