"I am much more accustomed to writing technical documents than I am sharing the intimate details of my personal life, but I have reached a point where my usual precision and "handle it" approach isn't enough to solve the challenges my family is facing. For years, I maintained a career built on stability and professional expertise, but I made the difficult decision to step away to be fully present for my children after my oldest son began facing debilitating mental health issues. As a mother, his well-being had to come before my career, and being there for him was the only choice that mattered.

​Since that shift, our lives have undergone a total upheaval. My ex-partner walked out on us after months of emotional turmoil, leaving me to navigate the world as a single mother to my three children. I have been relentlessly searching for consistent, professional work since November, and while that search continues, I have embraced the opportunity to work outdoors. I’ve found the physical labor to be deeply rewarding and character-building—it is work I truly appreciate and intend to continue in some capacity even after I regain my professional footing. However, the mental toll of the sudden transition, combined with the immediate pressure of supporting a family of four on my own, has created a "rough place" that I cannot bridge alone.
