A few days ago, our family's world changed forever.

Heather was shot multiple times while sitting in her car. Her young daughter, who was also at the scene, was thankfully unharmed. By some miracle, she fled to help and through the incredible work of those who responded and the doctors who treated her many many wounds, she survived!

Her body, though steadily healing from these many wounds, has left her in a sort of pain that no one should ever be forced to endure.

Through courage and faith, she attended church mere days later. Not because she isn't hurting and not because she isn't scared, but because of her devotion to the recognition that this day was a gift to her and her daughter. This, being a deeply resonating testament to her character.

There will be ongoing medical bills, supply refills, follow-up procedures, trauma counseling, and a multitude of other needs that will require funds we have yet to even consider. We are doing everything we can as a family but fully expect that the financial burden will be overwhelming, as it already has been.
