Hi, my name is Gillian.

At the beginning of December, what I thought was just a bad migraine turned into something much more serious. After weeks of worsening headaches and other symptoms, an MRI revealed a large brain tumor near my right frontal lobe. Within days, my life completely changed.

I am now undergoing extensive medical testing and treatment, and it’s very likely I’ll be having brain surgery followed by a long and uncertain recovery. Because of this, I’ve been advised to step away from school and work for the semester to focus entirely on healing.

Between hospital stays, surgery, follow-up care, medications, travel, and day-to-day living expenses, the financial burden has grown quickly and unexpectedly. This fundraiser is to help cover medical bills and basic expenses so I can focus on recovery without the added stress of how to pay for everything.
