Her world, along with ours and her son's, has been turned upside down. To combat the cancer, Fernanda will be undergoing surgery to have her kidney removed, and she will then have to adapt to living with only one kidney.

Fernanda is someone who has always brought so much light, laughter, and kindness into the lives of everyone she meets. As a solo mother she has always worked very hard to provide to her son. She is a dedicated care worker and a truly amazing friend. Now, it's our turn to rally around her and offer the support she so desperately needs.

This diagnosis means Fernanda is facing a difficult path ahead, filled with extensive medical treatments, appointments, and the emotional toll that comes with battling cancer.
