This fundraiser is on behalf of Esther Washington Blume. Esther was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. She has worked as an RN at Mayo Clinic her whole career -- 23 years and counting. Because of the symptoms of the tumor and her upcoming treatments, she is not able to work. While she will receive financial benefits from the state of MN and her employer, those will run out after a few months. She and her husband Tyler are proud and independent people, reluctant to publicize her diagnosis and journey and even more reluctant to create this page. However, they recognize that many people want to help in some way, and may feel moved to make a monetary donation. They will use any funds collected here to pay for basic expenses -- food, mortgage, medical bills. They have already been the recipients of so much positivity, and greatly appreciate any and all types of generosity.
