Help a Single Mom Keep Fighting After Cancer, a Heart Transplant, and Now Kidney Failure

I met this beautiful young lady last year. Her aunt is my great aunt! We met at our aunt's beautiful 60th Anniversary and Birthday Celebration. When I heard her story, it broke my heart! Anyone who knows me and my story knows I have a heart for single parents! But someone struggling so hard to survive with such medical issues to raise her son broke my heart more than ever. Her posts concern me as she faces all these new medical issues; they just keep coming. But as I read her post yesterday, it said something like if there were just 349k people who could give a dollar to help pay off some of this debt, maybe I could breathe a little (translated in my words). IT IS POSSIBLE AND I HAVE THE FAITH TO SEE IT HAPPEN! Help me help this mom! I'll be donating the first $100 and thank God for every cent thereafter!

Erica's story...

We are raising funds for an incredibly strong single mother who has already fought battles that most of us can’t imagine—and she’s still standing.

After surviving cancer, the chemotherapy that saved her life also caused severe heart failure. This led to the unimaginable reality of needing a heart transplant just to stay alive. She endured the transplant and the long, painful recovery that followed, determined to be there for her child.

Now, due to complications related to the heart transplant and years of intensive medical treatment, she is facing kidney failure and is being evaluated for a kidney transplant, along with other serious ongoing health issues. The fight isn’t over—but neither is her determination.

Despite her fragile health, she works 11 hours a day just to maintain health insurance and cover the overwhelming cost of medications, treatments, and medical appointments. Even with insurance, the out-of-pocket expenses are crushing. Every day is a balancing act between staying alive, staying employed, and being present as a mother.

This fundraiser is not about giving up—it’s about giving her a chance to breathe.
