My sister Emily is in the fight of her life—one she’s facing with more courage than anyone should ever have to muster. She has never been the type to ask for help, so I’m creating this GoFundMe on her behalf because she truly needs support right now.
A few weeks ago, doctors found multiple tumors: two in her breast and one on her liver. She’s now going through aggressive chemo and radiation, and even after just the first few treatments, the side effects have already hit her incredibly hard. The exhaustion, the pain, the nausea—every day takes something out of her.
Life didn't pause when she got the diagnosis. She’s a single mom trying to juggle a new job, treatment, bills, and the everyday needs of her two daughters. At 10 and 7, they can sense that something is wrong, but they’re still just kids—they still need rides to school, dinner on the table, help with homework, and the comfort that only their mom can give.
This fundraiser is meant to help keep life steady for them: to cover the medical costs insurance won’t touch, to ease the financial pressure, and to make sure the girls’ routines don’t fall apart while their mom fights for her future.
Emily also lives over an hour away from the rest of our family, which makes everything harder. That distance—small on a map but huge in a crisis—means she’s often dealing with the toughest parts of treatment on her own. She needs help with transportation to chemo, meals, basic daily support, and the stability to focus on healing instead of worrying about how to pay for everything.
This GoFundMe is our way of reaching out to her with whatever help we can offer. Every contribution—no matter the amount—goes directly toward keeping her afloat, covering medical and travel expenses, and giving her the care she needs as treatment gets tougher.
If you’re able, please help us support her while she fights for the chance to watch her daughters grow up.
Your support means the world.
