Help Eliu and His Family Through This Difficult Time
According to Eliu, while selling at Belmont Pier in Long Beach on the Fourth of July, a man approached him, claimed he owned the beach, and told him he was not allowed to sell there and had to leave. Eliu noticed police officers nearby and told the man that if the officers asked him to leave, he would. When he spoke with the officers, they told him that the beach is public and that he was allowed to continue selling.
According to Eliu, the man became angry and told him that if he didn't leave, he was going to get someone to remove him. A short time later, several men arrived and told Eliu that "the boss" had sent them. According to Eliu, they then brutally assaulted him.
The assault left Eliu with devastating injuries, including a fractured nose. He is currently unable to see properly, is in constant pain throughout his body, and faces a long road to recovery. A police report was filed, and he has received medical care, but his healing journey is only beginning.
Eliu is the main provider for his household. Instead of focusing on healing, he is now worried about how he will pay rent, put food on the table, and support the family that depends on him. Being unable to work has placed an overwhelming financial burden on his family during an already heartbreaking time.

Actualmente tiene problemas para ver, sufre de un dolor constante en todo su cuerpo y enfrenta un largo camino hacia su recuperación. Se levantó un reporte policial y recibió atención médica, pero su proceso de recuperación apenas comienza.
Eliu es el principal sostén económico de su familia. En lugar de poder concentrarse únicamente en sanar, ahora también enfrenta la preocupación de cómo pagará la renta, pondrá comida en la mesa y continuará apoyando a su familia. El no poder trabajar debido a sus lesiones ha generado una enorme carga económica para su hogar en un momento ya de por sí muy difícil.
