Help Our Dear Friend Elinor Get Back on Her Feet

We are reaching out on behalf of someone incredibly special to us — our dear friend and co-worker, Elinor.

Elinor has always been one of the hardest-working, most selfless people we know. Throughout her life, she has worked as many as three jobs at a time to provide for and raise her children. She has faced more challenges than most, yet she has always shown up with strength, grace, and quiet determination.

For many years, Elinor, now aged 71 years young, spent countless days and nights in the hospital caring for her beloved eldest daughter, Brenne who courageously battled neurofibromatosis - a rare genetic disease since she was born. Five years ago, Brenne sadly passed away from complications of that illness. Despite unimaginable heartbreak, Elinor continued forward, carrying her love for her daughter in everything she does.

Now, Elinor is facing another difficult chapter.

She is currently dealing with a medical condition that has left her unable to currently work. With no sick time or personal time left available, she has no savings or income at this time. As a result of some other private matters she is facing with her 2nd daughter, she is now facing eviction and is struggling to secure safe housing for herself. She has placed her name on low-income housing lists and has declared her emergency situation, but as many know, waiting lists can take months — even years to offer availability.

We, her co-workers and friends, are hoping to raise funds to help Elinor stay afloat during this critical time — to help with housing costs, basic living expenses, and to possibly secure even a private room in a safe home that she can afford while she recovers and regains stability.

Elinor is unaware we are doing this. Those who know her understand why — she is incredibly humble and fiercely independent, sometimes to a fault. But right now, she needs the kind of support she has given to so many others.
