Hi, my name is Marissa, and I’m Eli Viszolay’s sister. About a month ago, Eli discovered, through an MRI, a tumor in his lower abdomen and back. Three weeks later, our family learned the heartbreaking news that it is stage 3 cancer in the form of a non-seminoma germ-cell tumor.
In addition to surgery, Eli will begin chemotherapy in mid-December, with treatment continuing through March. If you know Eli, you know how hard it will be for him to stay out of the ocean until his doctors clear him which is likely June. You also know that the ocean is not just where he feels most alive.
We are raising money to help Eli cover his bills during treatment and to make up for any of the months he cannot work. Any amount, big or small, will make a meaningful difference and will help with everyday essentials like groceries and food while he focuses on healing.
If financial support isn’t possible, we would be so grateful if you’d consider signing up for the Meal Train we’ve started or sending cards, drawings etc. with words of encouragement (message me for address) Your kindness, love, and encouragement mean more than we can express. Thank you for standing with our family and with my beloved brother during this incredibly difficult time.
