Early Wednesday morning, February 25th, my mother, Elena Rivera, was in a head on car collision that has put her in the hospital.

She has undergone three surgeries, with the potential of more to come, for her body to heal properly. At this time, we are unaware of how long she will remain away from home and work.

While Elena hadn't planned to create a GoFundMe page, friends and coworkers have asked how they can help. In response to this generosity, we've created this page to help offset the cost of utilities, house payment, groceries, child care, and other essentials to help with the healing process.

So far, she has had a hematoma removal surgery on her chest, spinal/neck stability surgery, and the first phase of knee surgeries to reconstruct and repair her right leg. She will be faced with a long road of recovery and limited mobility for the first couple of months.
