My name is Eleanore and I'm speaking to you from what has been the worst year of my life and a day where I feel particularly swallowed up by all of it. I am a mother, fighting to maintain and restore a healthy relationship with my son through the NE Missouri court system over three years. My son and I are the best team you've ever seen and he is my entire world. I let him know as often as I can that he is the most witty, kind, and important person I will ever meet - because he is and always will be. If you've met him, you know.

I am self-represented, facing escalating legal costs, and trying to secure competent counsel so I can properly advocate for my son Jose. My relationship with him and my ability to advocate for his wellbeing have been placed at stake.

I have been representing myself while the other side has legal counsel. The costs of filing fees, transcripts, transportation, document preparation, and attorney retainers have become overwhelming.
