Help EJ Fight a Brain Tumor — Surgery & Recovery Ahead
Our family’s world changed overnight when my 30-year-old son, EJ, was diagnosed with a glioma brain tumor located in his cerebellum. The tumor is about the size of a human eyeball and has already begun affecting his daily life—causing severe migraines, as well as challenges with balance and coordination.
EJ is scheduled to undergo brain surgery on May 28 at Stanford Hospital. While we are hopeful, this is a major and delicate procedure. There is a possibility that after surgery, EJ may temporarily lose his ability to walk and could require inpatient rehabilitation in Santa Clara to regain his strength and independence.
At this time, doctors believe the tumor appears to be non-malignant. However, it will still need to be removed, and depending on the final diagnosis, EJ may require additional treatments such as chemotherapy or radiation.
EJ is one of the most driven, hardworking, and caring people you could ever meet. He has always been the kind of person who shows up for others without hesitation—and now he needs support during one of the toughest moments of his life.
We are raising funds to help cover the overwhelming medical expenses, including co-pays, deductibles, rehabilitation costs, and everyday household bills during his recovery period. This will allow EJ to focus fully on healing without the added stress of financial burden.
Any contribution—big or small—means more than we can express. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this page and keeping EJ in your thoughts and prayers would mean the world to us.
Thank you for standing with EJ and our family during this fight.
With gratitude,
April Beck, EJ’s mom
