Just before the New Year, our family received devastating news — my brother-in-law, Eddie, was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive bile duct cancer.
This illness is stealing away someone so dear to us far too soon.
He has served 35 years on the Dothan Fire Department.
Eddie is strong, full of life, and has always been my sister’s solid rock — a devoted husband, father, and friend to so many.
Eddie has recently started chemotherapy in hopes of lowering his bilirubin levels enough to qualify for a clinical trial, which could open the door to more treatment options and give us more precious time together.
As Christians, we hold tight to our faith and trust that the Lord has a plan, even in the hardest of times. We are not giving up hope for a miracle, because our family has experienced miracles before, and we know that God is still in the business of doing the impossible.
Eddie’s diagnosis has brought with it mounting medical expenses and financial challenges that their family could never have prepared for. If you are able, please consider donating to help ease this burden as they face this fight together.
If you can’t give financially, we humbly ask for your continued prayers, love, and encouragement for Eddie and our family.
A prayerful sister in law,
Anna Barron
