Since January 15 of this year, Donnie has been navigating his health journey after being diagnosed with stage three bladder cancer. Many of you may not realize that he has not been working during this time, as he has been focusing on what his body needs and preparing for the road ahead. Through it all, Tara has been showing up with incredible strength and love working three jobs while also caring for Donnie each day. The way they continue to support one another through this has been truly inspiring, even in the face of so much uncertainty.

As many of you know, Donnie will begin his chemotherapy journey on April 14. He’ll be following a cycle of two weeks on treatment and one week off, for a total of four sessions. While we are holding onto hope and staying as positive as possible, this season will likely bring moments where his energy is limited and his ability to work may be reduced as his body focuses on healing and recovery.

As many of us understand, cancer doesn’t just take a physical and emotional toll it can also place a heavy and unexpected financial strain on families. Tara and Donnie are walking into this chapter with strength, faith, and so much love around them, but the road ahead isn’t without its challenges. Any support whether it’s through prayers, kind words, sharing this message, or offering practical help would mean more than we can fully express.

We are deeply grateful for the outpouring of love that has already surrounded them, and for every person who continues to show up in big and small ways. It truly makes a difference. Thank you for holding them close, lifting them up, and being part of their support system during this time.
