Help Donald Pleasant Fight for His Life
Our family is asking for prayers, support, and help for my brother, Donald Pleasant, who is currently fighting for his life at Harborview Medical Center.
On the night of Sunday, July 5, Donald was riding a King County Metro bus in Seattle when someone opened fire at the back of the bus. Donald was struck three times in the back and suffered life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to the hospital, where he remains under the care of an incredible medical team.
Donald did not deserve this. What should have been an ordinary bus ride changed his life and our family’s lives in a matter of seconds.
Right now, our only focus is Donald’s survival and recovery. We are standing beside him, praying for healing, strength, and the opportunity to hear his voice and see him smile again. The road ahead is uncertain, but we refuse to give up hope.
We are creating this fundraiser to help with Donald’s medical expenses, rehabilitation, lost income, and the unexpected costs our family is facing while supporting him during this devastating time. His recovery may be long, and we want to make sure he has everything he needs to keep fighting without the additional burden of financial stress.
