Meet my uncle Dj, one of the hardest working, kind hearted men I know. A God fearing man. Growing up I knew if I needed absolutely anything a ride, a shoulder to lean on or a couple bucks he had it. He is the guy that would give the shirt off his back without a second thought for a perfect stranger. Unfortunately he has had a very tough past couple of months, loosing employment at a job he enjoyed and worked very hard to excel in. Taking advantage the time off, he began to finally acknowledge the health conditions he had ignored, while being the hard working Latino he is. This lead to the terrible finding that shook our entire family to the core, Hodgkin's lymphoma at the young age of 42. My family and I are asking for monetary donations to help support him during this difficult journey that lies ahead of him. Dj begins chemo therapy treatment in the next couple of days. For those who are unaware, this is when the pain and hard ache begins as wonderful as medical technology is now days. The physical side effects to chemo are deteriorating, killing healthy cells as fast as it kills the cancer cells causing extreme fatigue, hair loss, vomiting and increased risk of infection. If you are unable to help donation wise we ask to please spread his story. As worried as we are about his physical health we call all prayer warriors to please keep him and his immediate family in your prayers. May we keep his and those who hold him dear spirits protected and strong. It is time we give back to the giver. As my family and I still try to wrap this news around our heads how such a loving and giving soul was given this burden we ask for as much support as possible. Thank you for all whom have taken the time to hear the story of my uncle Donald Gomez Jr. , Son of Donald Gomez and Linda Castillo. May you give what you can and God bless you.
