Just a short while ago, we received some scary news. While many of you know my sister Dez for her giving heart, her strength, and the way she always shows up for the people she loves, we recently learned that she has been diagnosed with vulvar cancer.
For months, she lived in pain while searching for answers, and after multiple appointments and testing, doctors confirmed the heartbreaking diagnosis of vulvar cancer. She is now preparing for surgery and treatment, all while facing overwhelming medical expenses that are expected to continue to grow with treatment, recovery, medications, and follow-up care.
My sister is only 42 years old and the loving mother of 6 beautiful daughters who she needs to be healthy & strong for. She is the kind of person who always shows up for others — the one who loves deeply, gives selflessly, and carries everyone else’s burdens even while quietly carrying her own. She’s a loving mother, sister, daughter, and friend, and even through pain and uncertainty, she continues to stay strong and lean on God every step of the way.
Although this season has been difficult, we are remaining hopeful and believing for a full recovery.
We truly believe God is bigger than any diagnosis, bigger than the fear, and bigger than the financial burden that comes with it. We are praying boldly for healing, strength, peace, and complete restoration through this journey.
We also hope to use her story to spread awareness about vulvar cancer and encourage women everywhere not to ignore pain, changes, or symptoms in or on their bodies. Early detection matters, and too many women suffer in silence or are dismissed for far too long.
If you feel led to help, any donation — no matter how small — will go directly toward her surgery, medical treatments, and recovery expenses.
If you are unable to donate, we ask that you please share this fundraiser and keep her lifted in prayer.
Thank you for standing with our family during this difficult time. Your love, prayers, support, and kindness mean more than words can express.
