The Detroit hospitality community is joining arms to raise funds and awareness for the local immigrant community needing immense and immediate support. All funds will be distributed directly to community members needing legal aide and financial support due to unlawful detainments and increased risk to their and their families safety and security.

Immigrants are present across every part of the hospitality industry, including leadership, ownership, and day-to-day operations. When they are targeted the harm extends far beyond any single workplace and affects our entire community.

As individuals, it is difficult to know where to begin to help...but together we can make a meaningful difference. This is a human issue, a labor issue, and a community issue that demands our collective action.

This campaign will be ongoing given the increasing risks this community is experiencing. We will share updates here on how and where funds are being distributed without including individual names or photos to respect and protect folks.
