No parent should ever have to face the challenges this family has endured. As a single mother, she is courageously raising her three children Logan(10), Dawson (4), and Addison (2). Being a single parent is hard enough, but careing for 2 with life threatening medical conditions is unimaginable. Every day is filled with hospital visits, specialist appointments, therapies, uncertainty, and the constant fight to give her children the best possible life.

Four year old Dawson is courageously battling an incredibly rare cancerous brain tumor called a choroid plexus tumor. His diagnosis is so uncommon that doctors have seen only a handful of cases with his tumor's specific location. Since his diagnosis, Dawson has undergone one 12-hour brain surgery followed by five additional surgeries for shunt placements, revisions, and malfunctions.

Today, his tumor is growing again. Because of where it is located, surgery carries heartbreaking risks, including permanent vision loss, memory loss, injury to major blood vessels, damage to his pituitary gland and hypothalamus, and further damage to his brain. Chemotherapy cannot begin until doctors can safely obtain new tissue for biopsy.

Dawson's care requires an extraordinary team of specialists, including neurology, neurosurgery, neuro-oncology, neuro-ophthalmology, endocrinology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, feeding and swallowing specialists, developmental therapists, and a dietitian. He is also closely monitored for seizures due to complications caused by his tumor.

Despite everything he has endured, Dawson continues to inspire everyone around him. Although he cannot speak yet, he loves to sing. He works tirelessly in therapy every day and, despite weakness on his left side, keeps moving forward with one of the brightest smiles you'll ever see.

Two year old Addison is fighting her own battle. She was born with severe congenital aortic valve stenosis, a serious heart condition that requires ongoing monitoring by her cardiology and surgical teams. She undergoes regular cardiac catheterizations and will eventually need open-heart surgery to replace her heart valve.

Throughout it all, 10 year old Logan has been an incredible big brother. He has watched both of his younger siblings spend countless days and nights in intensive care while remaining a constant source of love, strength, and encouragement for his family. On top of being a year round athlete and excellent student.

The emotional and financial burden on this single mother is unimaginable. Between lengthy hospital stays, surgeries, specialist appointments, therapies, medications, travel expenses, and the everyday costs of raising three young children, the financial strain continues to grow.
