Hello friends,
Our family is facing one of the hardest moments of our lives, and today I’m asking for help on behalf of someone who would never ask for himself—my dad, David.
If you know him, you know his heart. He has the strongest work ethic of anyone I’ve ever met. He’ll put in a full 10-hour workday doing construction and still show up at your door if you have a leak, never asking for anything in return. He’s the kind of man who will give you the shirt off his back without hesitation. He has been a father figure to many of our friends and the first person to show up whenever someone needs help.
Now, he’s the one who needs support.
My dad is beginning treatment soon, and while he’s determined to keep working as much as he can, the reality is that the medical bills, scans, copays, and the costs that pile up during cancer treatment are overwhelming. This is all on top of his regular mortgage and monthly expenses. He does have insurance, but as many of you know, that only covers so much.
His treatment schedule will be three days in a row, followed by three weeks off before the next round. He’s hoping to be able to work at least two of those weeks each cycle—but we know that the financial strain is still going to be heavy.
I’m creating this fundraiser in hopes of easing some of that burden so he can focus on healing, not worrying about whether he can afford to take a day off to recover.
Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference for him and for our family. Thank you for taking the time to read this, for caring about my dad, and for supporting him the way he has supported so many others.
