My name is Brian Aguilar, and I’m writing this on behalf of my partner, Darby Sherman.

If you know Darby, you know she is one of the most caring, thoughtful, and generous people, someone who has dedicated her life to healing others through her work as an acupuncturist. Early in December, after months pursuing a diagnosis, Darby was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a cancer of the lymphatic system.

This has been an incredibly overwhelming and life-altering time for her. To focus fully on healing and treatment, Darby has had to close down her private acupuncture practice and take a pause from the community clinic where she was treating. Along with the physical and emotional toll, the financial burden of medical care, treatment-related expenses, and lost income during this time has been significant.

We created this GoFundMe to help ease some of that weight so Darby can focus on what matters most right now, rest, healing, and recovery, without the constant stress of finances. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will go directly toward medical bills, treatment costs, and day-to-day living expenses during this time.
