Hey everyone, it's Brent. I’m reaching out because I find myself doing something I never imagined: setting up a GoFundMe page. But it’s for a cause close to my heart—helping my friend, Daniel, in Ghana get back behind the wheel.

Daniel’s life took a sudden turn when he lost his car, the very lifeline of his livelihood as an Uber driver. In Ghana, no car doesn't just mean no work; it means no income, and without income, there's no way to afford the basics like food, medicine, or shelter for himself nor his family.

The harsh reality is that poverty in Ghana is unlike anything many of us have experienced. I’m determined to ensure Daniel doesn’t become another statistic in this ongoing struggle, but I can’t do it alone. I need any help you can give and I need you to share this link with anyone who cares about others.

This wasn’t Daniel’s idea, actually he doesn't even know we are going to help him. He’s the kind of person who battles silently. Yet, without a vehicle, time is a luxury he and his family can not afford. My goal is to secure a car for Daniel, so he can resume earning and supporting himself and his loved ones.

Unfortunately, the financial system in Ghana offers little aid to blue-collar workers; so loans and credit are out of reach. Therefore, I need to raise cash to help Daniel out of his dilemma.

Daniel has embodied integrity and generosity, and through the 2 years i have known him. He’s become more than a driver to me and my friends. He has become family. He’s introduced us to the beauty of Ghana, shared his life with us, and now, it’s our turn to give back.
