Hi, my name is Bethany, and I’m starting this GoFundMe for my best friend, Danielle Houck. Dani is one of those rare people who makes every day brighter — funny, caring, and full of life. She’s a devoted nurse, an animal lover, and someone who’s always cheering up everyone around her (usually over a plate of her favorite Mexican food!).

Now, Dani needs our help.

Recently, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Even with this heartbreaking news, she’s facing it with her trademark humor, strength, and compassion. But as she begins treatment, the medical bills, time away from work, and day-to-day expenses are beginning to add up.

To make things even more difficult, Dani has also been the primary caregiver for her beloved step-dad, Bill, who is fighting brain cancer. She has poured so much love and energy into caring for him — even as she now faces her own health battle.
