Help Support Cyrus’s Family During This Unimaginable Tragedy

On Father’s Day, Cyrus and his father, Cy Pratt were spending the day together fishing at Swan Falls Dam. While attempting to cross the river, 19-year-old Cyrus lost his footing and was swept away by the powerful current.

Without hesitation, his father entered the water in an attempt to save him. A courageous bystander also joined the rescue effort. Tragically, the strength of the rapids prevented them from reaching Cyrus.

Search and Rescue teams, law enforcement officers, and dive teams have worked tirelessly to locate him, but the search remains ongoing. As time passes, there is a possibility that official search efforts may be scaled back or suspended if Cyrus is not found.

This unimaginable tragedy has placed an enormous emotional and financial burden on Cyrus’s family. We are creating this fundraiser to help relieve some of those burdens, including lost wages from time away from work, travel expenses, immediate family needs, and any continued private search and recovery efforts that may become necessary.

Anyone who knew Cyrus knows what a special young man he is. He is deeply loved by his family, friends, and community. To know Cyrus is to love him. He has touched countless lives with his kind heart, infectious smile, and caring spirit.

The family has always been the first to help others in times of need. Now, they need our support.
