Help Crystal Access Life-Sustaining Medical Care & Equipment
My name is Crystal Turner, and I am 44 years old. I am an advocate for helping others and supporting others by encouraging them to be the best version of themselves. Always wanting the best for others. Philanthropy is essential to my life advancement. If I can help somebody along the way then my living shall not be in vain. When I was in the prime of my life and established career, I became disabled. I became limited in physical function. After becoming physically limited, my friends helped me to figure out a way to still help others. We figured out - a way that I could still reach the world. that is when I created - Disabledbutablekris! No matter what’s happens in your life that may disable you - You are bigger than it! So.. After I thought life already hard.. the challenges got tougher… My body began to shut down in ways I couldn’t begin to comprehend. After seeing multiple specialists around the State of Georgia and southern regions, we have exhausted various resources and continue to work with the best care teams that give everything the possibly can to help me through my health challenges.
I am currently receiving palliative care while living with multiple serious and complex medical conditions, including pancreatic insufficiency/failure, strokes, multiple sclerosis, adrenal insufficiency, cardiac conditions, hypoglycemia, and a host of other health issues .
In recent months, I have also been diagnosed with gastrointestinal paralysis, esophageal motility disorders, and significant colon dysfunction, in addition to a neurogenic bladder. Because of these conditions, I depend on a 24-hour continuous feeding tube for nutrition and a suprapubic catheter for bladder management. These are not temporary supports—they are medically necessary for my daily survival and stability.
Unfortunately, I am facing ongoing insurance coverage denials and reversals. I was initially told that my feeding pump would no longer be funded because it was “out of network.” I was later informed it was in network—only to be told again that it is not. Due to these inconsistencies, I am now in urgent need of a dual feeding pump, which would allow for safer, uninterrupted nutrition. Despite medical necessity, insurance has denied coverage for this particular machine.
In addition, there is the possibility of upcoming surgery, which brings added costs, recovery time, and additional medical supplies. Existing medical expenses and related debts must also be addressed to ensure continuity of care.
* A medically necessary dual feeding machine
* Surgery-related costs and recovery needs
* Medical supplies not covered by insurance
* Outstanding medical and care-related expenses
Every donation—no matter the size—helps reduce stress and allows me to focus on care, comfort, and quality of life. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser is just as meaningful.
Thank you for your kindness, support, and for standing with me during this journey.
