Our family is asking for help for Cory, who was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 aggressive lymphoma.
Cory has always been the kind of person willing to help when someone needs it. Whether it’s lending a hand, offering support, or showing up when it matters, he’s been there for many people over the years. Now he is facing the toughest challenge of his life and could use some help himself.
Cory is undergoing a very intense chemotherapy treatment known as the “Red Devil” (doxorubicin), a powerful drug commonly used to treat aggressive cancers. It earned its nickname because of its bright red color and the harsh side effects it can cause. Cory will undergo 6 treatments, one every 3 weeks.
The side effects have already been severe. After just his first treatment, Cory lost 17 pounds in one week. For several days after each treatment, he struggles to keep food down and is often too sick to eat.
In addition to the lymphoma, Cory has a mass growing in his right femur that chemotherapy is not expected to fully treat. He will need radiation while continuing chemotherapy. His femur has become very brittle and there is a real risk that the bone could fracture.
Despite everything he is facing, Cory is still trying to work about 25 hours per week, but his ability to earn income is limited as treatment continues.
The bills weighing most heavily on him include:
* Rent: $950/month
* Car payment: $500/month
* Car insurance: $150/month
* Utilities: $150/month
That’s $1,750 per month in essential expenses, not including groceries, medical costs, and daily necessities.
We are raising funds to help Cory focus on what matters most: fighting this cancer and healing, without the constant stress of wondering how he will pay his bills.
If you are able to donate, no amount is too small. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Cory in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you!
