This GoFundMe is for Cort.. Cort is going in for high-risk surgery again on the 24th. She has applied to the appropriate channels to still try and have an income through bed rest, but that is taking more time than expected. She has been battling stomach cancer the last few years, developed sepsis recently that's ongoing, which left her right kidney to fail due to her lupus as well. She has to have two surgeries back to back; things are progressing, and this surgery is to help avoid any other cancers developing, cleaning the infected organs around with a laparoscopy surgery with a partial hysterectomy with a few others included but not named. Once she is healed and strong enough, there will be a kidney biopsy done to decide the official root and timeline of the possibility things go awry. I don't want to air out all her business more than needed, but this is to help Cort and her kids pay bills and keep her home.

She is loved more than she knows! She's a SINGLE MOM of two kiddos, works full time, and is sick 24/7, but you can never tell because that's how strong she is. She acts like she has it together so the kids never quit, but secretly, she's unwell in every scenario. She doesn't act on it or let others help or know; she just deals with whatever comes her way. If you have been around the last few years, you know how tired she is, the treatments, meds, chemo, radiation, etc., and how hard life has been to even live. Her small community has been there to help; Chaplin has been working with the family as part of certain wishes.
