Supporting Christine Kilburn

My sister, Christine, is a woman of extraordinary strength. Despite being hearing impaired since age two due to rheumatic fever, and managing both diabetes and a complex blood clotting disorder, she has always faced life with a smile.

In August 2025, our world changed when she was diagnosed with terminal pancreatic cancer. Even though we were told the tumor was inoperable, Christine has fought hard, endured 11 grueling rounds of chemotherapy and 28 radiation treatments.

We recently received a glimmer of hope; scans show the tumor is shrinking, and doctors are now evaluating her for the Whipple procedure. While this surgery is high-risk and requires a lengthy recovery, it offers a precious chance to extend her time with her family.

Beyond the medical struggle, Christine faces a heavy burden. She is the sole provider for her eight-year-old granddaughter and lives on a very limited fixed income. Every day is a struggle to make ends meet, and the weight of her terminal diagnosis is compounded by the lack of life or burial insurance.

She spends her remaining energy worrying about her granddaughter’s future and the financial shadow her passing will leave behind. We are reaching out to ask for your support to help ease this impossible burden. Help Christine plan her final arrangements.
