To our community of friends & loved ones, we wanted to share with you that on Saturday May 2, our dear friend Chris Valli, suffered a catastrophic hemorrhagic stroke. He was immediately admitted to Tufts Medical Center Neurosciences ICU in Boston and is under the care of the amazing staff there. He has surprised everyone, including his care team, by making some unexpected progress. Chris is a fighter!
Chris has a very long road ahead of him and many potential medical challenges. He will be in the hospital for about a month under the skillful care of the neurology and nursing staff at Tufts. Afterward, he will be transferred to a rehabilitation center for several months to continue his healing journey, before returning home.
We know that Briget and Chris have touched so many lives with their kindness, warmth, love, generosity, humor and seemingly never-ending ability to help the people in their community, strangers and friends alike. They have shared the goodness of their Stoneledge Gardens culinary gems, volunteered their time, talents and gifts in times of need and shown up for others in their darkest moments in immeasurable ways.
Briget & Chris have a mountain to climb to help Chris return to his life and their life together. This will create a tremendous financial burden. We are reaching out to their community to ask if you have any ability to help lessen that burden by making a donation of any amount; we would be incredibly grateful. We know every little amount will help them with what they are facing and the uncertainty of the future.
