Chelsea Middleton, teammate, Western Clydesdales player, and one of the most loved members of our community, was involved in a serious road accident and is now recovering in ICU at the PA Hospital in Brisbane.
In the hours after the accident, the outlook was frightening. Chelsea suffered significant head trauma and was airlifted to Brisbane and placed in an induced coma. What has happened since can only be described as a miracle. Against the odds, Chelsea is fighting, her care team is hopeful, and every day is bringing fresh signs of progress.
But the road ahead is a long one. It means time in hospital, time away from work, and a significant period focused entirely on healing.
That is where her Clydesdales family, and we, come in.
We have set up this fund to take the financial pressure off Chelsea during her recovery: medical and rehabilitation costs, and the income she will lose while she is unable to work. Our goal is simple. We want Chelsea to focus on getting well, knowing the practical worries are covered.
Anyone who knows Chelsea knows how much she gives to those around her. Now it is our turn to give back.
*This fundraiser and the funds that are received will go directly to helping Chelsea and her family at this time of need
