Standing with Charlie Sherwood
Charlie Sherwood and his fiancée, Jamie Parsons, were in a season of blossoming life—planning their wedding, watching their careers grow, and building a beautiful music community—when their world shifted overnight.
Earlier this November, Charlie was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer, something a young couple could never have imagined facing.
If you know Charlie Sherwood, you know his heart. You know the steady, smart, kind, and hardworking man he has always been—the devoted fiancée, the reliable colleague, the loving son, uncle, big brother, friend, and the very best dog dad.
Charlie was recently accepted for treatment at Stanford Medical—a blessing placed directly in this family’s path. He and Jamie have temporarily relocated there so he can begin the road of treatment and healing.
This transition, on top of what will likely be significant medical costs over the next 8–10 months, has brought unexpected financial needs:
- Temporary lodging in Stanford
- Rent and utilities while away from their apartment
- Day-to-day living expenses and bills while on emergency leave from their jobs
- Food/groceries for Charlie’s specialized diet
- Medications and supplements
- Travel for family members to provide support
- Travel for Jamie to retrieve necessities from their apartment as needed
- Care for their Great Pyrenees, Hank
Looking Forward with Faith
In the face of this adversity, Charlie and his family are choosing faith over fear—leaning into positivity, community, and belief in God’s healing power—with the sole mission of surrounding Charlie with the same love, joy, and strength he has poured into so many lives.
With your support, we will get Charlie well and bring him home next summer—right back to the mixing console, crafting the moments within music that heal us, hold us, and keep us connected.
How to Lift Charlie Up
More than anything, your words, love, and prayers matter. Whether you are able to contribute financially or not, we ask you to please share your sentiments, stories, memories, inside jokes, and hopes here.
Let’s make this space an archive of the moments worth fighting for; something Charlie, Jamie, and their family can look to for comfort now, and something they can return to when the battle is won.
From the bottom of all our hearts, thank you—for your prayers, your belief, your generosity, and your stories.
God is healing. Community is powerful. And Charlie is STRONG.
Note: To help Charlie and Jamie stay focused on Charlie’s healing, we ask that messages be shared here instead of by text or call. We’ll keep this page updated and are so grateful for your support. Thank you so much for your understanding.
