We are heartbroken to share that our beloved brother-in-law, Manuel Rodriguez, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Bakersfield, California, on April 16, 2026.
With the permission of my sister, Susana Delgado, we are asking for financial support to help fulfill Manuel's final wish of being laid to rest in his place of birth in Aguanuato, Michoacan, Mexico.
Manuel and my sister shared a beautiful love story that began when they were teenagers. They first met when my sister traveled to Mexico on vacation, and he became her first love and boyfriend. Although they had to go their separate ways when she returned home, life had other plans for them. Years later, they were reunited in the United States, proof that destiny had brought them back to each other. From that moment on, they built a life together filled with love, commitment, and happiness.
This has been an incredibly difficult time for our family and my sister. Manuel was the sole provider, and his passing has left my sister facing not only the emotional pain of his loss but also the financial burden of funeral and burial expenses. She is now also faced with the challenge of relocating and starting over on her own.
We don't usually ask for help, but after the recent passing of our father from cancer last year, our family used our savings to cover his burial expenses and has been trying to recover financially. Now, we are facing this unexpected and heartbreaking situation.
Manuel was a loving, hardworking man who always provided for his family. He leaves behind parents, siblings, two sons, and a grandchild, as he had just recently become a proud grandfather.

Manuel fue un hombre amoroso y trabajador que siempre veló por su familia. Deja atrás a sus padres, hermanos, hermanas, dos hijos y un nieto, ya que recientemente se había convertido en un orgulloso abuelo.
