“GRACIAS”
I’m Caleb Ruiz dad.
He is 9 years old and He was born in Boston, Massachusetts and just hours after birth was transferred to Boston Children’s Hospital for his first open-heart surgery because he was diagnosed with congenital heart disease (CHD). He was also diagnosed with pulmonary stenosis. The doctors at Boston Children’s Hospital didn’t give him much hope for survival, but thank God he has been fighting year after year, day after day, minute after minute and second after second. The processes have been very difficult and painful, involving several open-heart surgeries and catheterizations that have helped him to keep going and fight for his life. A few years ago, he suffered a stroke that left him unable to move his left side, and it has been even harder for him and for me to see him like this. The doctors have informed us that they have done everything humanly possible and that they can no longer perform any additional surgical procedures due to the deterioration of his body. Therefore, Matthew is now more tired and more….. Physically and emotionally worn out, he has had to receive additional medication and oxygen in his daily life, beyond what he was used to. Therefore, today we come knocking on the door of your hearts to help support us with whatever you can, as we are going through very difficult financial times due to medical expenses, future funeral costs, and other needs. My son and I thank you from the bottom of our heart, and may God bless you abundantly.
“THANK YOU”
