I’m starting this go fund me for my best friend sister in law - both of those titles are important

so she gets both always.

Superwoman is really the

best way to describe her -

36 year old single Mom of a 6 year old boy

•November 2025 -

Moved 800 miles away from her home town

to start a new fresh life for her and her son..

For years Caitlin expressed concerns to her doctors that were continuously brushed off -

The lump in her breast was

“just dense breast tissue”

The pain in her neck was an old neck injury mixed with “degenerative disc disease”

Fast forward:

•February 25th, 2026

Caitlin was diagnosed with Her2+ Breast Cancer

The plan was to have full treatment done at

Duke University Hospital in Durham,NC

Which is 3.5 hours away from her home

& her son. Once every 3 weeks for a year +

•March 25, 2026

The MRI showed a fracture in Caitlin’s spine at

C3 from a lesion weakening her bone

Her care team at Duke requested

she get to the nearest cancer hospital immediately-

Where they have now admitted her & she is waiting for next steps.

This has taken Caitlin away from her son

& work much sooner than expected.

Being a single Mom with no help physically or financially from her sons father -

I’m coming to the community for assistance.

This road is going to be long and it’s been rougher already than we originally had expected.

Update: 

Neck Surgery Scheduled Monday March 30th 

✨ UPDATE 3/30: Superwoman has made it out of neck surgery! She went in at 7am & came out at 4pm! The surgeons accomplished ALOT! They removed C3 - put in a cage - fused it to C2 & C4. They passed it on to pathology to find that it was indeed Metastatic Carcinoma. Her port has been installed for the next chapter of this journey.
