Hello! My name is Cole Buchanan and I'm seeking help for my mother Bucky, who was recently diagnosed with stage III colorectal cancer.

For many years, my mother fought for me and my health when few others would. She helped me make a major breakthrough in 2019, and then subsequently fell and broke her ankle, taking much of her attention in the following years and allowing the formation of cancer to fly under the radar. The doctors believe it's been lingering since right around that time. Her symptoms have made regular life, work, and travel quite difficult since.

Before the cancer began to flare up and make its presence known, Bucky was always active and outgoing. Always there to help someone in need, come rain or shine. While she has been struggling privately, she maintains a positive attitude and does her best to continue being supportive to those around her.

Bucky now has a plan to receive medical treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN as well as the Sanford Roger Marris Cancer Center in Fargo, ND. Besides chemotherapy, she's expected to go through multiple rounds of radiation and multiple surgeries. She will need funding to help pay for her transportation, food, lodging, and any unforeseen medical bills. Additional funds beyond that will allow her to live her life more comfortably, and I believe she deserves respite for all that she's given to her family, friends, and community.
