Most of us know Bridget Pasznik from being at either the Wanaque Warriors football field, cheering her boys on at the Wanaque baseball field, or being present for her daughter's soccer games. Bridget has recently faced some surprising health issues..

On 10/21 Bridget was experiencing severe abdominal pain that resulted in an emergency visit to the hospital. After a battery of tests she went in for surgery on 10/24 to have a resection of her colon, removal of her left ovary and fallopian tubes as well as 13 infected lymph nodes.

On 10/25 Bridget was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. This news shocked her and her family. Never did she expect to hear this. The days ahead of her were going to be some of the scariest. She had met with her oncologist to go over a plan and have more tests done.

On 11/12 her cancer markers came back clean! This was the relief they were praying for. Although her markers came back clean her oncology team deemed it crucial to start her on preventive chemotherapy that started on 11/18. Bridget is facing side effects that are affecting her day to day lifestyle. During treatment week she has extreme cold sensitivity. She can't go into her refrigerator or freezer without wearing cold gear, she can not eat or drink anything cold for 5+days after chemo. She is also experiencing extreme fatigue and neuropathy of her hands and feet.

Bridget is facing financial hardship during this time. She would never ask for help on her own but we know it is needed. Each chemo treatment is roughly $2,500 and the survey bill alone is $18,000. This does not include specialist visits, medications and the additional testing she will have to endure. During her chemo weeks Bridget is not able to work at her full capacity which is another loss to her family.

Bridget is a mother of 3 kids who are her world. Kelsie (18), Edward (17) and Austin (12). She is the loving wife to Eddie and has always been the welcoming house to friends and family. Bridget needs our help and if you can find it in your heart to donate, I know she would be forever grateful.
