Today was not a good day. We got some discouraging news, but we are NOT giving up on my mommy waking up. ❤️

Kirt, Jesse, and I are here with my mom full-time. We aren’t leaving her side. She wouldn’t want any one of us to be anywhere else.

Kirt has worked at the same place for most of my life. Unfortunately, some things have come

up and it has caused a cancellation of my mom and Kirt’s health insurance. My mom was then life-flighted on top of that.

Right now, we’re staying in a cheap motel so we can remain close to my mom. But even a cheap motel adds up quickly. Then there are medical expenses, food, gas, and all of the other unexpected costs that come with something like this.

I’m tapped out. I know my mom and Kirt are tapped out too.

Kirt is probably going to kill me for posting this because if you know my dad, you KNOW how much pride he has. But right now, he needs help. And I know he would do the same for any one of us.

Earlier this year, when we were supposed to adopt our baby, I asked for help. The money raised helped pay our lawyer, and I will forever be grateful for everyone who stood behind us during one of the hardest things we’ve ever experienced. I was embarrassed asking for help then, and honestly, I’m even more embarrassed asking a second time.

But apparently, our family is getting hit hard this year.

And now it’s my turn to be there for my mom.

When we lost our adoption placement, my mom held me together. She sat with me while I cried. She made me dinner. She knitted me an entire KING-SIZE blanket. Anytime I was hurting, she would have taken that pain from me in a heartbeat if she could.

If I could trade places with her right now, I would.

She is only 48 years old. This is absolutely killing us.

So please, please pray.

Pray that my mommy wakes up.

Pray for her brain and her body to heal.

Pray for Kirt.

Pray for our family.

Pray for our financial situation.

And pray for strength for all of us because this is taking so much out of us mentally, physically, emotionally, and financially.
