It is with a heavy and humble heart that I am reaching out to the community on behalf of my mother for support. Bonnie was hospitalized on May 12th with kidney failure and we soon learned she has Multiple Myeloma, a type of blood cancer that develops in the bone marrow. There is not a known cause or anything she could have done to prevent this.
The current treatment plan is dialysis 3x/week, and chemotherapy 1x/week along with other various appointments. The cancer has already caused some lesions and small fractures in her bones. She is ready to fight and cannot do it alone.
Bonnie has been a CNA for 42 years. She has spent her life in the service of others and now she needs care. Despite having insurance, the copays and bills are adding up quickly. This will be a long road. I’ve applied for financial assistance and grants, and it’s just not enough.
Money is more than tight, it’s non-existent, and she needs support to continue treatments. I understand that times are hard for many people and if you are able, a little bit will go a long way for us. Thank you in advance.
