Hi everyone, my name is Amanda and I’m reaching out on behalf of my father Bob Barr, who was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 lung cancer. Our family is still trying to process the news, and while he is staying strong and fighting with everything he has, the financial burden has become overwhelming.

My dad is one of the most hardworking, genuine people you could ever meet. He spends his weekends working in the Prescott Valley Market, and when he’s not there, you’ll find him doing the things he loves most — fishing, hand-crafting his own fishing rod poles, and spending time with his dogs, his wife, and our family. He loves simple moments, good conversations, and any day that includes a fishing pole in his hand (and sometimes a nice cold beer).

Now, instead of enjoying those moments, he’s facing a battle he never expected. With treatments, scans, medications, and constant appointments, the medical bills are already more than he can afford. We want him to be able to focus on healing — not worrying about how he’ll pay for the care he desperately needs. And he hasn’t even begun treatment yet .

We’re asking for help to support him with:

• Medical treatments and oncology care

• Medications and specialist visits

• Transportation to and from appointments

• Unexpected costs that come with his diagnosis
