I am raising funds on behalf of a dear family friend, Bob, who has recently been the victim of a devastating scam.

Bob is one of those rare people who has always put others before himself. Most of the work he does focuses on state funding, policies, and laws that protect the constitutional rights of immigrants, ensuring protection from federal violations and overreach. He works tirelessly with our community to stand in solidarity with immigrants, refugees, and Indigenous Native Americans, advocating for the protection of culture and human dignity.

Through faith-based groups, human and civil rights organizations, and immigrant ally groups such as Strengthening Sanctuary Alliance, Peace and Justice Organization, and Olympia Fellowship of Reconciliation, Bob supports initiatives that promote equity and justice. He has contributed significantly to City of Olympia Resolutions and Proclamations on Peace, Justice, Climate Protection, and Immigrant Support, helping to advance the city’s goal of being a City of Compassion.

Sadly, Bob’s dedication and trust were taken advantage of, resulting in a significant financial loss that has deeply affected him emotionally and financially. After spending so much of his life advocating for the well-being and rights of others, he now finds himself in a position where he needs help.

This fundraiser is meant to support Bob as he recovers from this unexpected hardship. Every donation, no matter the amount, will help ease the burden he is carrying and allow him to continue the work he is passionate about.
