My name is Michael Heffner, and I am creating this fundraiser for my father, Bill Heffner.

Over the last few days, our family’s world changed completely. My dad was found to have a large brain tumor causing significant pressure and shifting in his brain. What started as confusion and concern quickly turned into emergency scans, specialists, hospital transfers, and conversations no family is ever truly prepared for.

If you know my dad, then you know he is the kind of man who downplays his own pain so nobody else has to worry. Even while struggling, he continued trying to act like everything was normal. That’s who he is. He has spent his life taking care of others, working hard, helping people, and being a steady presence for his family and community.

Right now, our focus is simple: give him the absolute best chance possible.

These funds will help with:

Medical expenses and travel during treatment.

Lost income and recovery support.

Helping relieve financial stress from my parents during this crisis.

Long-term care and rehabilitation WHEN surgery and treatment are successful.

Supporting my mother so she can focus on being beside him instead of worrying about finances.

And WHEN my dad fights through this the way we all know he can, then I want this fundraiser to become something bigger: a way to help him finally rest, retire, heal, and enjoy life without carrying the weight of survival on his shoulders every single day.
