Help Big Mike Get Back on His Feet
My name is Nathan, I'm Michaels manager at Prime Communications. I’m starting this GoFundMe for one of the most loyal, hardworking, and selfless people I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing Michael, or as we all call him, “Big Mike.”
Mike is the kind of person every workplace hopes for but few ever find. He shows up early, stays late, and never hesitates to help anyone in need. He’ll switch shifts without question just to help a coworker. During a snowstorm, he even drove two towns in the wrong direction to pick up a fellow employee who was stranded, just to make sure they could get to work safely. That’s who Mike is. He gives without ever expecting anything in return.
Mike has the biggest heart of anyone I know.
Recently, Mike suffered the unimaginable loss of his son, Robbie. Mike adopted Robbie, who had cerebral palsy, and loved him deeply. Losing Robbie has devastated their family.
On top of that emotional pain, Mike has been battling serious health issues. He is diabetic and has undergone multiple surgeries on his feet. He lost his pinky toe on his left foot, and his right foot required multiple procedures to remove dead tissue. He now wears a medical boot to protect it. Despite having part of his foot amputated, Mike returned to work within just 72 hours-because he is the sole provider for his wife, his three children, and his mother.
He never complains. He never asks for help. He just keeps showing up.
Yesterday, Mike’s vehicle was repossessed. After everything he’s endured—the loss of his son, ongoing medical challenges, and supporting his entire family—he fell behind financially. He didn’t call to ask for money. He didn’t ask for charity. He called me and simply asked for a ride to work, hoping he could earn enough to get his vehicle back on his own.
That moment broke my heart.
I am not asking for charity. I am asking for the same kindness that Mike has shown to everyone around him for years.
Every dollar will go toward helping Mike recover his vehicle, support his family, and relieve some of the burden he has carried alone for far too long.
If you can donate, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you cannot, please consider sharing this page.
Mike has spent his life helping others. Now it’s our turn to help him.
Nathan
