Family and friends, I’m sharing this because I know many of you care about my son Benji.

Benji was seriously injured in a violent attack. He was stabbed in the neck and his hand was broken. He was rushed to the hospital and underwent surgery. By the grace of God and the incredible doctors, he is expected to be okay, but he has a long road of healing ahead of him and will be out of work for some time.

What happened is still hard to wrap my head around. Benji was outside with a friend when a girl approached him, seemingly flirting with Benji. Moments later, her boyfriend came around the corner, confronted Benji about the girl, broke a Corona beer bottle, and attacked Benji with the broken glass. As a mother, there are no words for how terrifying this has been.

The doctors said the cut on his neck was only 1 centimeter away from taking his life

Right now, our focus is on Benji’s recovery, physically, emotionally, and mentally. This has effected him mentally… he’s not the same He has extreme PTSD now and the medical bills, missed work, and everyday life expenses will add up quickly, so we’ve set up a GoFundMe to help support him during this time.
